Welcome to PlaceTrix. This Privacy Policy explains how we ("PlaceTrix," "we," "us," or "our") collect, use, share, and protect information in relation to our mobile application and services (collectively, the "Service"). This policy applies to all users of the Service, including Students, Teachers/TPOs, and Administrators.
Your use of the PlaceTrix platform is managed and administered by your educational institution (the "Institution"). The Institution is the Data Controller, and PlaceTrix acts as the Data Processor on their behalf. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information Provided by Your Institution
- Full name
- Institutional email address
- Batch or graduation year (e.g., "2022-2026")
- University PRN and/or Roll Number
2.2 Information You Provide to Us
- Personal Information: Mobile number, parent's mobile number, current and permanent address.
- Academic Performance Data: HSC/Diploma percentage and semester GPAs/percentages.
- Resume/CV uploads (PDF or other supported formats).
- Application Data: registration and application status for opportunities.
- Event Responses: RSVP status for events.
- Assessment Data: mock test answers and results.
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
- Attendance Data: Event ID, timestamp, and TPO ID during QR scans.
- Usage Data: Interaction metrics (features used, time spent).
- Device Information: Device model, OS version, identifiers for push notifications.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Providing and managing the Service.
- Facilitating placement opportunities.
- Managing event attendance.
- Conducting assessments.
- Sending push notifications and emails.
- Institutional reporting and analytics.
4. How We Share Your Information
- With your Institution's TPO and Administrators.
- With Potential Employers when you apply.
- With Third-Party Service Providers (Google Cloud, Firebase).
- For Legal Compliance when required.
5. Data Storage and Security
We use Google Cloud Platform and Firebase security features, including encryption in transit and at rest. While safeguards are in place, no system is completely secure.
6. Data Retention
Data is retained while you are an active student. After graduation or deactivation, retention depends on your Institution's policies.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Access & Correction: Edit profile information in the app.
- Resume Management: Replace resumes anytime.
- Account Deletion: Contact your Institution's Administrator or TPO.
8. Future AI-Powered Features
We may introduce an AI-powered Analytics Assistant for TPOs in the future, using aggregated or anonymized data.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page and may be notified via the app.
